Templeogue is home to a range of outdoor, sports and recreational amenities, with a host of public parks and the Dublin Mountains on your doorstep. There is a children’s playground in Bushy Park, while Tymon Park is rich in nature and biodiversity, providing outdoor and recreational opportunities for children of all ages.

Templeogue and Walkinstown have an abundance of open spaces, such as Walkinstown Park and Orwell Green whilst the neighbourhood has a range of sports clubs to cater for different interests. Clubs in the area include Faughs GAA Club, St. Jude’s GAA Club, Templeogue Tennis Club and Walkinstown United Football Club.

Templeogue and Walkinstown also offer facilities for a range of other leisure pursuits and sports, including badminton, hockey, Judo, basketball, as well as cycling, running and walking.

In looking to the future, the planned Dodder Greenway between Bohernabreena Valley and Dublin City has great potential for walking and cycling opportunities in the neighbourhood.
